Interventions regarding physicians’ sickness certification practice – a systematic review

As yet, interventions aiming to influence physicians’ sickness certification practice have not been evaluated scientifically. Studies in this field differ considerably concerning intervention content and effect measures. Against this background, in our meta-analysis we observed no statistically significant effect in favor of the interventions for having any return to work (RTW, i.e. first, partial, or full) nor full RTW.
